When it comes to kids, we have a simple goal: to provide a safe, happy, and loving environment for kids to learn what it means to be part of the family of God.
Our children's areas are designed to provide age-appropriate opportunities for kids to hear and interact with the great stories of God's people; feel the unconditional love of Jesus through caring teachers and caregivers; and experience the fellowship of the Holy Spirit as they sing, pray, and play games together.
If your son or daughter has special needs, let us know so we can work together to make your child's worship and learning experience great.
Sundays
8 weeks - 4 years
Nursery (8:15 a.m. - 12:15 p.m.)
The Nursery is full of joy, play, songs, and hugs. Little ones are greeted by name, cared for by carefully chosen staff, and treated like the precious members of God's family they are. What's more, every child gets a fresh diaper before heading home! Learn more about the nursery here.
Sunday School (9:45 - 10:45 a.m.)
Toddlers 2 and up are invited to be part of an age-appropriate Sunday School class featuring a Bible story, guitar-led songs, crafts, and a simple snack. Teachers are available as needed to escort children to the Nursery following class.
Pre-K 4s - 1st Grade
Sunday School (9:45 - 10:45 a.m.)
Each Sunday School class provides a developmentally appropriate Bible story, guitar or piano-led songs, crafts, and in Pre-K 4s and Kindergarten, a simple snack.
Children's Church (during 11:00 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. worship services)
Kids attend church with their parents until after the Children's Time during the service, when they "follow the star" to Children's Church. Their worship continues at Children's Church with a Bible story presentation, the Lord's Prayer, a hymn, and an artistic activity related to the Bible story. Parents meet their kids in Room 104 after worship.
2nd - 5th Grade
Track 25 (9:45 - 10:45 a.m.)
Kids gather by grade for arrival activities, then move to a large-group space for singing, offering, and a Bible storytelling presentation. After the story, kids return to their classrooms for follow-up activities and/or lesson discussion.
InBeTweeners (5:00 - 6:00 p.m. once monthly)
This special fellowship group for fourth- and fifth-graders meets for an inspirational message based on the Track 25 theme-of-the-month, games, and regularly scheduled mission projects.
Wednesdays
K - 5th Grade
Mission Possible Kids (6:30 - 7:30 p.m.)
In this spy-themed mission group, kids serve as secret agents doing God's work in the world. Each week kids live out Jesus' instructions to serve others by working on a local or international mission project.
Joy Choir (age 4 by September 1 through Kindergarten)
At FPC, we believe all God's people should have the opportunity to worship through song, and it is with great anticipation that we welcome our little ones into their first choir. The Joy Choir rehearses Wednesdays from 5:45 - 6:15 p.m. in Children's Choir Room 232 and serves the church by singing in services about six times per year as well as in the Spring Children's Musical and Christmas Candlelight Service.
Jammin'@FPC (Grades 1-5)
This group provides an instrumental music experience while learning about other cultures around the world.
Grades 1-2 meet Wednesdays, 6:00 - 6:30 p.m. in room 258.
Grades 3-5 meet Sundays, 5:15 - 6:00 p.m. in room 258.
