The church, made up of people like you and me, is assigned the amazing task of being God’s agents of restoration in our communities. We are to comfort the brokenhearted, visit prisoners as if they were our own family, feed the poor, clothe orphans, care for the sick, watch over the city, and so much more (Isaiah 61:1-4). In short, we are to make earth look as much like heaven as possible while we live here. It is thrilling to partner with God in accomplishing his purposes!
