At FPC, We believe that music and art is an inherent part of our worship experience. We celebrate the joy of our Lord through voice, instrument, and a variety of fine arts. We welcome you to join us!
Chancel Choir: High School through Senior Adult
The Chancel Choir has sung concerts throughout the U.S., Europe and the Middle East. The Chancel Choir sings music ranging from the Renaissance and Baroque through the most contemporary of sounds including jazz and gospel arrangements from the African American tradition. In 2015, the Chancel Choir was noted as being the only choir north of downtown Atlanta to offer a presentation of Handel’s Messiah. We begin this year with our annual retreat/workshop held here at FPC on August 26-27. The retreat will be led by Dr. Geoffrey Boers, head of the choral studies division at University of Washington and Associate Conductor of the Tacoma Symphony Orchestra. We will also be collaborating with the Georgia Youth Chorus and members of the Atlanta Symphony to present Mass of the Children by John Rutter on Sunday, October 30th at our 11:15 am worship celebration. Positions are open in every section. Singers must thrive serving in a Christ focused culture and be able to demonstrate a love for one another and for their community. This group meets Wednesdays, 7:00 - 8:30 p.m.

Sanctuary Singers: high school through Senior Adult
The Sanctuary Singers is always accepting new members. This group currently meets on Wednesdays in the Choir Room at 11:00 a.m. for rehearsal and prayer. We sing the classics of choral repertoire and offer our voices in worship at least two Sundays per month. We normally participate in the 8:30 a.m. service, held in the historic Sanctuary. Many members of this group also sing in the Chancel Choir. The only requirement is a love for Jesus and the desire to sing His praise.

The Kirks meet on Mondays at 7:00 p.m. in room 239. We usually select a restaurant on the square for an early dinner around 5:30 p.m., prior to rehearsal.

FPC Praise band
The Praise Band leads the church’s song at the 11:00 a.m. worship offering in the historic Sanctuary. The band specializes in the expression of the contemporary church, yet lifts up the great historic hymnody of the church with creativity and passion. Singers, guitarists, percussionists, string players and keyboardists are all welcome to contact Llilian and Rene Herrera or Jeffrey Meeks (770) 427-0293 x262 for more information.
FPC Orchestra Ensemble
The FPC Orchestral Ensemble is made up of professional and amateur players who desire to be part of a christian community of musicians. The group participates in worship once per month at the 11:15 a.m., worship service. Members of this musical community also offer solos, play in chamber groups and play with the praise band. The group is open to high school through adult musicians. Rehearsals are at 9:45 a.m., on Sundays, unless a special rehearsal is requested.
